New member from Shreveport Bossier

Hi everyone!  My name is Katie, and I am active duty stationed in the Shreveport Bossier City, LA area.  I have not exactly "begun" my journey yet, at least as far as investing.  Right now I am just a sponge.  I have been reading and listening and learning as much as I possibly can.  I'm working on paying off a couple of small debts (like, real small.  Including a car, I have less that $20k in debt), and then I want to jump in.  I believe initially I will focus on buy and hold rentals.  And then I'd eventually like to expand to flipping.  But that's WAY down the line.  My goal is to create an income stream that allows me options.  This way if I choose to not reenlist, I'm okay.  Even more than that, I am a single mother, and I want something to give my daughter one day.  I want to make sure she has options too.  

I LOVE the Shreveport-Bossier area, so I'm really looking forward to one day adding something to this community that I have embraced and has embraced me right back :)
