Greetings from Lake View Terrace, California. My name is Randy Shoemaker and I have little to no background in real estate.  However, I have a thirst for knowledge and financial freedom.  The later I believe is attainable through real estate investing.

I am a happily married father of 2, and I currently run the Audio Visual department for the Hyatt Valencia, soon that will include the Double Tree Bakersfield.  I have been involved in the sales and execution side of audio visual for more than 12 years.

My goals in real estate are to start small and work my way up. I am considering single-family cash flowing properties with a 10-20% ROI, and I am not afraid to look out of my state. (as if I had any other choice) My goal is to purchase one cash flowing property a year until I can step my game up.

I joined BiggerPockets in the hope to find mentor ship and guidance.  I find the amount of education here to be a bit overwhelming but I am up for the challenge.
