Newbie from Buffalo and Manhattan NY

Hi All,

Eric here originally from Buffalo NY, working in Manhattan currently.  My real estate interest comes from co-workers and networking with new friends in Manhattan, as well as family and friends involved in real estate back home in Buffalo.

I am most interested in long term rentals, mostly in upstate NY near Buffalo (it's just a tad more affordable and less restrictions than Manhattan!) where I have connections as well as close family.  My goal (like many perhaps), is to have a bit of financial freedom while investing and growing a strong rental portfolio.

I believe one of my biggest concerns is investing while not living locally (although I do visit quite often) back home.  Property management is where I lack and would need $upport as an expense of the gross income.

Oh, I almost forgot.  I also have interest in Airbnb within Manhattan and close by.  I've been somewhat successful in prepping an apartment, hiring cleaners, maximizing profits per sq. feet (which is always tricky).  Although, the difficulty in finding buildings that will allow (or won't find out) about airbnb'ing can be the most challenging part!

Cheers!!!
