My name is Lynda Morales and I stumbled across this site while looking for creative ways to finance my first home. My credit score is under 600 but I am paying so much in rent I have not figured out how to save anything. I have 2 children under 18 and a son who works out of town and is home maybe 4 nights a month. Whenever my landlord has to repair something my rent goes up. I very much want to get out of my current situation.  We have asked to land contract our current home for the past few years but she wants a straight out purchase.

Other than that, my father was always remodeling something when I was growing up. I saw him and do a room addition to our house and add a bathroom. Learned how to tile counter tops, lay carpet and even some plumbing skills. I was my dad's helper when building a deck for a pool or working on cars, so I have seen lots of before and after. I do not have any experience in real estate except what I have learned via the school of hard knocks but I am willing to learn. My husband is a very hands on learner. I love looking at different homes but do not feel like much of a sales person.
