Where should I start? Well I'm 26 and have my BA in criminal justice. Never saw myself in real estate but for the last year it's all ive been thinking about. I'm fascinated with the many options and opportunities it presents. As well as the challenge. Being a former college athlete makes me want to take on that challenge. I was previously a police officer but I'm ready to start my journey in real estate and make it a major part of my lifestyle.

Hey @Jacob Younger,

I think the first step would be to research what kind of investing you would like to start with. Bigger pockets has a great getting started article that I absolutely recommend.

Then start drafting a business plan to give you some direction, set goals, and develop strategies. While doing this continue reading, listening, and educating yourself. Start networking with investors in your area and once you have some direction start analyzing deals and get moving! At first I would make sure to work with a mentor or experienced agent. They will help you on your journey and help you answer the millions of questions you have during your first deal.

Most of all though, just analyze deal and pull the trigger when you find a good one. The best learning comes from doing.

Best of luck and feel free to reach out if you need anything. I'm new as well, but the first time lessons are fresh in my mind.

Tony
