Complete and total newbie from Richardson, TX

Hello!  Complete and total newbie from Richardson, TX.  Stumbled upon this place trying to research a company after attending one of their Real Estate Seminars because I'm skeptical and I like to do my research before diving into something I know little about and tossing my money at them for "education" that may or may not pan out. 

As of this posting I personally do not own any real estate, and most likely I am no where near close to doing so anytime soon, but am curious about bout it and would like to eventually get into it.  I am new to it, after pondering the idea for the past year.  I want to change things up eventually, hopefully change careers because of it.  After reading through the forums a bit, I'm still not sold on this seminar as it felt like a "Get Rich Very Quick" thing, but I hope I can learn something from here, and learn where to get info on any and everything dealing with owning real estate.
