New Investor From Salt Lake City, Utah

Howdy BiggerPockets community! This is Travis Gibson from Salt Lake City, Utah. I'm getting into real estate investing because I want to have more control over my time, my income, and my financial independence. I plan to create a "lifestyle business" of investing in real estate, meaning that I hope to automate as much as possible once I get established. My real estate experience so far is pretty limited. I own the home my wife and I live in, and we own a home in the Phoenix, Arizona area that we rented out for a little while. We are actually AZ natives who transplanted to UT. I plan to evaluate both the Salt Lake and Phoenix areas for investment potential. Right now I am reading, and listening to learn as much as I can about investing. I feel like I'm at a point where I need to begin taking some actions to get the ball rolling, but not quite ready to start getting into contacts. The BP community seems like an awesome resource and I look forward to diving in and getting to know some of you fine people!
