New Member in Central Illinois

Hello everyone!
I am Tanner and I live in the Central (well, North-Central) Illinois area. 

I have been lurking around for a while and decided to jump in and start participating. 

I decided a month or so ago I wanted to purchase a low-end rental property in my area and started doing some research which began to peak my interest in Real Estate investing more and more. 
I am an IT professional and I am not looking to replace my day job, but I am hoping to increase my knowledge and find like-minded individuals in my area that I could possibly work with on some projects. 
I look forward to learning lots and meeting many of you!
