Hey everyone, my name is Stephen and I'm from Winthrop, Maine. A friend of mine directed me to the BP community after learning of my interest in real estate investing. I have been interested for many years, but another friend's misfortune in it turned me away from it until now.  I am very impressed with this site, however I must admit, I'm getting overwhelmed with ALL of the information. My goal is to drastically reduce the amount of time I spend working on an ambulance as a Paramedic, and to get back to a point where I enjoy it again, and have more time with the family.  My wife and I are interested in buy and hold apartments. We believe that if you treat someone right, they will treat you right and helping people with housing is one way to do it. We are looking for retirement income and having the ability to slow down and enjoy life for a while. I am also interested in flipping, but I think building up capital with apartments is the right way to start. I've read Rich Dad, Poor Dad and really liked the meaning behind it. It's changed a lot of my thinking about money and where I want to be. I'm tired of the rat race and need a change!!!  Thanks for listening...
