My name is Alex, I'm international student from Indonesia. I graduated in 2014 from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with B.S. in Computer Science. Currently, I work full-time as software engineer in a startup company. After about two years working (and finally with steady and manageable schedule), I would like to do some part-time investing.

I came across BiggerPockets while researching about investing in property, and unbelievably I learnt a lot that made me set my first foot through the gate. However, this is just a first step and as a newbie I have zero experience in REI. Hopefully, I will gain more knowledge along the way, especially from here (forum, people, etc).

My goal through REI is to make use of my income (rotating it rather than sitting duck in the bank) and get an additional income on top of that. My short-term goal is to get a property and renting them by the end of the year (2016).

Thank you for your time,

- Alex
