Hey my name is Jonathan Adams,

My wife ( Paula ) and I own Stewardship Group LLC which is a real estate company that purchases distressed properties to rehab, rent out, and re-sale for profit. Stewardship Group is not a real estate broker. My wife is a former accountant and full-time Realtor for Realty Executives, a broker in Orlando FL. which is where we live. I've been in commercial construction for many years as a project manager and estimator. I now have my days off to focus on the real estate company because a year ago I started working in the evenings and night as an addictions counselor for a local rehabilitation program. My wife and I are also part of a church planting team in a distressed area of town called Parramore. Serving others is important to us and a big part of why we want to get into real estate. We see this industry as a way to become influential and affect our community for the better. We stumbled across Bigger Pockets by researching the most secure ways for investors to get into real estate. During that research I came across and ordered J Scott's book on flipping houses which we have found very helpful, along with some other books on real estate tax law. Bottom line we are excited to be on this journey and to use our gifts in this industry. Any and all advice is greatly appreciated.
