Hello everyone!

My name is David Oh. I came across BiggerPockets while browsing through the app store for podcasts concerning real estate and real estate investment. After the first episode I found myself excited, even empowered, as I look to move on from a career path in video production. I'm appreciative of BiggerPockets for designing this thoughtful space and procuring such helpful information.

A little about myself...

I grew up in a three bedroom apartment in San Francisco. My earliest memory is of my five siblings and I sharing a single room opposite of my father's study, which we jokingly refer to as having been occupied by my father's favorite children, his books. Despite the fact that we grew larger and the space became more constricted, we were never quite able to evict those books from the second bedroom.

Whether it was my dad's love of books or the great number of kids living under one roof, I was never given my own space growing up. Somewhat fortuitously, not having my own space had the net positive effect of stimulating a vested interest in design and eventually construction. I can remember in high school helping my father think of new floor plans for our home, and to this day I love to reimagine spaces. I suppose I also have HGTV and DIY Network to thank for that.

My interests, though broad, have recently moved towards real estate investment and development. I would like to eventually get my license, but I don't want to wait before I get my feet wet, so i'm considering taking any entry level position at an investment firm to start. My friend just started with a firm in valuation and he is enjoying it.

Thanks for dropping by! Say hi, and if you or anyone you know is looking to fill an entry level position in the San Francisco or East Bay area I would love to connect! Thanks!
