Hello BP,

My name is Jeff Mars. I'm active duty military and will be relocating to Travis AFB in Sep 2016. I've been overseas for 4 years and it has given me a lot of time to educate myself in RE Investing. I've read tons of books and listened to podcasts diligently to up my RE IQ. Now that I know where I will be heading, I'm developing my strategy over the next couple months.

What are the professionals thinking about the market in Fairfield / Vacaville? And the surrounding area? I've noticed prices look high and have heard from some investors on the BP Podcast to stay away from buying in the area. I've heard the schools are bad in Fairfield as well. I've been drawn toward multi-familiy rentals and foreclosure flips/holds and am curious if anyone has experience in this area with these strategies. I think a multifamily (duplex or triplex) would be a good avenue with a VA loan, but I'm not sure if there is a market in those areas.

On a side note, I'm extremely interested in Tiny House on wheels. Part of me wants to just purchase property and put a tiny house for myself to focus more capital towards flips or buy and holds. Anyone with references, advice, agents, or with similar interest or experience feel free to msg me! Thanks everyone for reading. Bless America!

Jeff M.
