Hello from the San Francisco Bay Area

Hello,

I am brand new to the real estate investment community and want to get started with my first investment.

I ran across a property in East Oakland that seems to be a good deal. Comps in the area of similar sized properties run between $250k - $280k (minimally updated). The asking price of this home is $199,900. Would this be a good deal?
