Marine getting out Annapolis MD

hi everyone, I'm getting out of the Marines after serving 9 years. Currently stationed in California, moving back home to Maryland where i will get my real estate licence and start school in marketing. Im investing with my brother and we want to rent and hold a property in Annapolis MD. I want to start with a multifamily home first. Please let me know what you think and if any investors are from that area, i would love your feed back. Just starting off so very excited to get back and start my new chapter in my life.
