I am a business owner with over 10 years experience in Real Estate.  My business, however is preparing homes for the market, a.k.a. Home Staging.  I have been hugely successful at it over the last 10 years, and continue to grow as a business professional.

It has always been my goal to someday invest in the real estate market, as an investor.  I have bought and sold many homes myself, but always as a homeowner.  I was 21 when I purchased my first "home".

Now that my full time business is successful and I am at a good place in my personal life, I'm ready for real estate investing.

I joined this site, and other RE Investing Networking groups on LinkedIN in hopes of learning common do's and don'ts of this business.

I also paid a fee to receive training in RE investing with "Success in Real Estate".  This company encourages investing in the USA.  I am Canadian and would prefer to invest locally, where I can physically walk through properties when needed.  I am open to investing in the U.S. and welcome any advice for new investors planning on investing out of Country.

@Annie Caya

Welcome to BP!

Your a flipper's best friend.  Additionally, an acquaintance of mine used a "home stager" when setting-up his furnished executive rentals.

There are quite a few Canadians floating around the site and a handful of those from the Big Smoke who can answer questions and provide Canada specific experience ... as you undoubtedly know as a business owner in the industry things are a little different here with respect to financing, regulation and {everyone's favourite} taxation.

You are undoubtedly well connected in the investment community already, but try reaching out to some of the local meet-ups (@Gary McGowan runs a monthly meeting out Newmarket way).
