New member heading to Sheppard Air Force Base (Wichita Falls, Tx)

Good evening everyone!

I am currently living in Colorado Springs but the Air Force will be sending me to Wichita Falls, TX for pilot training at the end of June. I am new to real-estate investing and I am looking forward to learning more! If possible, I would like to purchase a duplex or a single-family home and rent out the rooms while in Texas ( I won't be able to handle much more than that due to the rigors of pilot training). Other than that, I plan to continue living well below my means and saving money so that I will be in a great place to become a buy-and-hold investor in the winter of 2017.
