New Motivated Member and Dad in the D.C./Maryland area. : )
Hello BP community. My name is Vandell Ali. I've had an interest in RE investing for a long time and even acquired a NY RE license just before the economic and subprime crisis of 2008. Not knowing much about the industry I erroneously thought it was a terrible time to get involved. Live and learn right? I am and have been for 15 years a professional personal trainer and health coach and own a online training business. So I understand the power and benefits of coaching, mentors, seeking expertise, and having the proper mindset. I figure if I can help others make money while doing the same for myself the opportunities are endless. My wife and I currently have one duplex in and my goal is to own 10 multi-unit properties. I am most interested in wholesaling as a means to raise capital to eventually do buy and holds, but I'm open to suggestions about different ways to approach my goal. So to begin I'm reading everything BP suggests and I am open to advice and eager to learn. I love the podcasts and am thankful that I found it. Much success to you all and happy investing!

@Vandell Ali welcome to BP! Best/first thing to do is get educated. Read read read! Read books on investing in real estate, listen to the podcasts, attend webinars and stay active on the forums while connecting with other investors in your area and pick a niche. Best of luck.
