New to New Jersey - looking for my first investment

Recently moved to Morristown, New Jersey. I am a young professional. I have been renting since January and am now looking to purchase my first house/townhome/multifamily before 2017. I am looking at this as an investment. I have been running number on multiple opportunities around Morristown and starting to learn about the market but I do not know about other areas. I was hoping someone could help educate me on the area's around here. If anyone could give me advise I would greatly appreciate it.
