Hi BiggerPockets! I am a new agent to San Diego. I thought getting involved in  real estate investment should involve having license, so here I am today! I heard about the website basically through the podcasts, which are amazing. I love hearing the success stories of all the interviewees. I just began with a broker downtown, and honestly looking to learn and absorb as much as I can. My original goal was to become a flipper, but I feel the marketI live in has dried up much as foreclosures and REOs are way down.

You've come to the right place to learn REI.

Also, I wouldn't necessarily give up that easily on your goal of becoming a flipper.  While the deals are certainly fewer and farther between, they are absolutely still out there and offer a great reward to those who know how to find them and effectively execute their strategy.

With that said, there are a ton of different ways to make money in this industry, so hopefully you find the one that suites you.  I'm in SD as well, so you are more than welcome to reach out with any questions.
