New, Young Investor--General Inquiry
Hello! I hope all is well. I am a young, potential investor that is eager to enter the real estate world. I am currently pursuing my masters in the Social Anthropology of Development at SOAS, University of London, and I recently graduated from Spelman College (May 2015). Presently, I am based out of London, but I would like to move back to the States in January and begin my real estate journey.
I am completely new to the idea of buying property and quite overwhelmed by the jargon. I would love any advice for a young investor.
What would you have wished you would've told yourself?
Is 23 too young to "tie yourself down" with property?
What type of property would you recommend for someone with my profile?
Would you recommend Atlanta as a good area? How do you assess markets?
I am really interested in the idea of doing AirBnB. Would you recommend this? Leasing rooms for the purpose of AirBnB?
Thank you for your help. Any links, comments, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
