Dog Walker from California

Hello Bigger Pockets!

I'm Nick Carrel.  I'm 28, born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and currently reside in Oakland, where I run a small dog walking business called Barking Buddhas.  Passive income has always been my aim, and I'm understanding that real estate will be the mechanism and vehicle thru which I can achieve that aim throughout my next decade(s).

I drive around residential neighborhoods on a daily basis and have begun "driving for dollars", or at least identifying potential wholesale properties.  Other than that, I'm looking to learn more about how to initiate my first steps in to the world of real estate.  The Bay Area market may be unrealistic for me to begin investing in personally, so I am also interested in learning about the feasibility of investing in out-of-state property.

Looking forward to absorbing new information and participating in the community.

Thanks!

Nick
