Hi BP community!

My name is Philip and I'm from L.A., born and raised. I have a full-time decent paying job that I love. My goal in REI is to secure my financial future and to be able to fully provide and care for my parents.

I found my way to BP through a personal finance podcast that I listen to. Natalie Morris and Clayton Morris were featured on that podcast and I soon found my way to their episodes on BP. I had been saving money and thinking about purchasing my first home here in L.A., but as everyone is well aware, real estate prices in L.A. are crazy expensive. So I was super inspired by the Morris' story and real estate opportunities out of state. I had absolutely no idea that real estate in other parts of the country could cost less than a luxury car.

I immediately signed up on BP and have been catching up on podcasts during my commutes. There's so much to learn and I'm barely just scratching the surface of REI

At this early stage, I'm primarily interested in buy-and-hold cash-flowing turnkey investments (how about BAHCFTKI as a new acronym!). As I gain more knowledge and funds, I may someday be interested in wholesaling, flipping, and investing closer to home.

I'm currently reading the UBG and just picked up "Rich Dad Poor Dad" and "Miracle Morning" and am really looking forward to purchasing my first property!
