Hello I am Gerard. I am located in the north of the Netherlands (Groningen).

I have been thinking of going into real estate for long time. Always been interested in the financial part of it. Atm I am freelance software developer and co-owner of a few websites. The goal is making enough passive income to be independent.

Since I am located in the north of the Netherlands I am mainly interested in properties there. I am interested in buy and hold of single family and maybe student housing.

I bought my first rental property about a year ago but decided to live there first with my family while doing some renovations. As soon as we find something more suitable to live (we have twin boys of 3 years old so we need some more space…) this house will be a rental again.

Bit jealous of the opportunities I am reading about here. Too bad the situation at my location is somewhat different from that in the US. Still think there are opportunities here also. Hoping to get some pointers here on how to find the good deals if you just starting out and also the financing.
