Moved to Florida in 95 a newly wed. Bought our first house 6 months later. We found a motivated seller trying to sell his moms house who just passed away. We lived there for 3 years. during that 3 years I replaced and repaired all I could afford to do. Sold it 3 years later for a 40K profit. Took that money put 30K down on the next house did the same thing for 3 1/2 years this house had issues. Bad roof, hidden termite damage, leaking pool. Removed the pool entirely, new roof, repaired the termite damage and did some other much needed updates like the kitchen. Put it on the market shortly after. This house was on the market for less that 12 hours. I netted a profit for a total of 67K. Fast forward 12 years, I never knew there were hard money and private lenders. I also didn't know about purchasing multiple properties using other peoples money. It was an eye opening seminar in which they were trying to get me to invest 35K dollars and I probably would of done it gladly had I had the money to do so. However, the reality is that kids are expensive and the fact that a check to check living doesn't allow for much more. So Being an attendee of the seminar has made me realize I need to get off my rear and get moving. So here I am wanting to network with all of you and learn as much as I can to achieve the financial freedom I am after.
