Hey Everyone! We are first time flippers :) We just drastically downsized and rented out our own house. We are living in our flip😳 with 3 small kids 😳😳😳 it's all kind of crazy but when God tells you to jump, you just jump! We pray it pays off in the end! It's a unique situation in that it's my parents house and they are letting us rent right now and still buy it cheap later. I want to get my real estate license before we actually buy and sell it, good idea or bad idea?? We are in Granbury, Tx and I'd love to make some connections with others in our area! We need all the help and advice we can get! We are newbies at this but fast learners and not afraid to get our hands dirty! We have always wanted to do this and we finally jumped in! So excited! The changes are already happening and it's fun to see!

Hello and welcome to BP! Grandbury will probably work out for you. My Dad lives there too. He has benn in real estate since about 1980. He needs something to do and I will mention you next time I talk to him. He has a place on the De Cordova Estates. Enough of that. Education is one of the keys in REI. Choosing your market and knowing it well is critical and the best locations of it should be known. This is a great website to learn all you about real estate investing and you will have great communications. Do not cut any corners with anything you do. Always do the numbers on the properties you are thinking about and try to look at them or at least have a clause in the sales contract that gives some time to look and allows you to back out without a penalty. Getting an insurance policy right after you close is important because it will pay for your possible loss.

I am 59 years old and I found BP and I don't know what I want to do yet.  I went to college, and it is not mandatory, and it emphasized real estate.  Because I was in Texas and they told me I was qualified and I did not have to take anything extra to get a broker license. Regardless of what I had I felt more comfortable with the construction business.  I have been in the construction industry since I was 17. My father has been in real estate for about 40 years and he has taught me a little bit.  If you think I can help you please contact me through BP at any time.  Good luck!
