My First 2: New Member Introduction! Pittsburgh

Hello all!

I have been away awhile developing myself along with my first purchase of 2 properties in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I have done this under owner financing /land contract February 29th! After analyzing the properties/areas and negotiating terms I believe I made an excellent entry into starting a successful real estate business.

It took me 15 hours a day for about 12 days to complete all the necessary cosmetic and general work for both properties. Less than 3 weeks, I have one already rented out officially as of April 1st. The other property is awaiting HUD to do the necessary inspections for Section 8. I met and spoke with many people before selecting these two tenants. I am here to tell you that the low/no money down is alive and well. You just have to be on the radar for deals!!!

Additionally, if you are in the Pittsburgh area and would like to network I would be glad to speak with you. In the next 6 months I intend to start managing other peoples properties. Already, I have people interested in having me managing their investments due to my background experience. By the end of this year I intend to have 3 properties total.

I am a former Marine, current student at the University of Pittsburgh majoring in Finance, and work at the University with veterans. If there are any investors in the Pittsburgh area on this site, feel free to reach out. I am always open to meeting other people and discussing various topics like what areas here to invest!

Kind regards,

Joshua

@john

@John Van Uytven Thanks. Yes it certainly has been busy. Actually finding and sitting down to sign the lease was very rewarding. I will be happy when HUD eventually gets around to the other property. Having to get a hold of anyone there is NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE haha
