Newbie from Tampa, Florida

Hey Guys, My name is Luke Jeanlouis. I am currently a part time MBA study at the University of South Florida. I currently changed my 60hr work week career from manager at Enterprise Rent A Car down to a steady 40hr job. I have a one and a half year old daughter and been engaged for nearly a year to my lovely fiancé. I have been interested in getting started in real estate for while however never found the time to do research and explore. I started watching YouTube videos from multiple channels in real estate and loved the ways Brandon and his team explained multiple topics and the amount of information given. My new free time has allowed me to do more research online and I am excited to have found the Bigger Pockets community.

My upcoming goal is to start off house hacking and purchase my first multi-family. I am currently in the market for good deals in Temple Terrace. I have friends who are also interested in investing with me as partners so we are just searching for the perfect investment opportunities and successful leaders in the market to learn from.

Hi @Luke JeanLouis, it's been about 4 months since you've posted this, but I just ran into your post while looking for like-minded people in Tampa, FL. How is your house-hacking plan going? I am due to close on a duplex on August 2nd and my boyfriend is due to close on a duplex on August 30th. Mine is an investment property and his is a house-hacking deal financed with FHA loan. I found both of them on the MLS. Let me know if I can help in any way. I'm also looking for a partner/partners to do a flip with in the very near future.
