Realtor in Honolulu, Hawaii
Aloha!
I am currently a real estate agent with Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties in Honolulu, Hawaii. I am interested in working with investors, buyers and sellers for residential real estate on the island of Oahu. I also have an interest in being a real estate investor as well. I hope to learn the art of investing in this forum.

Hello and welcome to BP! You are in the right place to learn where to go. Education is very important for you to be in. The more education you have the less mistakes you will probably have. Mistakes and fear are pretty normal in investing in real estate. Learn from your mistakes and turn your fear into something positive. Learn how to do everything before you start making offers. The market you select and the locations within it are important. Find your local team members that know what you don't and keep you focusing on things that are income productive. People like Attornies, Agents, Inspectors, CPA's, and General Contractors are some of the main ones. Just make sure they are experienced at what you need and they will take your phone calls. Do not try to do everything yourself. Always do the numbers and try to look at the properties before you make an offer or have a contract clause that allows you to back out with no fees, that will usually give you more time.
I am 59 years old and I found BP about 7 months ago and I am still trying to decide what to do. I went to college and I got a business degree that emphasized real estate. In that same year, in 1980, I got a broker license. Regardless of what I had I felt more comfortable in the construction business. My father has been in real estate for about 40 years and he has taught me a little bit. If you think I can help you please contact me through BP at any time. Good luck!
