Hello BP!!!

I've poked around and been intrigued by BP for the longest time now. For several reasons, that I hope to discuss with folks, it's time to get serious about this and become part of the community. I've been investing for quite a while now, but it's been in the background in a sense while I focus on a career. I still have a fiveplex that I manage in an awesome part of town. My wife and I just had a little guy who is the light of our lives. I want to, and have the potential to, buy a few more properties. But I can't for the life of me find anything that cashflows in a decent way in my area (Halifax, Nova Scotia). I think that either, a) there really is very little in the way of good props for sale here at this time, or b) I'm not being reasonable with my analyses... I'm going to write my first blog post on this topic, and use a few properties in the area as samples. I'm sure other folks have ran into this problem at some point, and I'd love to hear from you. Have a great day!

Hi guys,

Thanks for the kind words and for reaching out. I made out well on my first real apartment building by doing almost all of the renos myself. That worked wonders in my 20's, but wouldn't go over so well now! @Roy N. I agree, HRM is an overpriced market. I've been interested in the Wolfville market but it's just so nice to live within 30mins of the buildings. Up to now, I've managed and taken care of every single little problem myself. This is one of the things I'll have to get my head around moving forward as there really aren't any more hours in the day.

@Paul MacInnis Nice to meet you too. My uncle lives out your way. I'd love to have chat about the experience you've had!

@Rajat Narang You're the only other person with as few posts as I! Nice to meet you. Lets's get involved here... :)

Happy Sunday guys!
