New Investor from Antioch, CA
Hello fellow BP members!
My name is Mike, I currently work in Sales at Shane Co. (Your friend in the diamond business!)
I don’t have much real estate experience, but I have been consuming a ton on BP/podcasts and through books for the past year. I haven’t made much progress because of some lame excuses and I am tired of them! Today I signed up for the pro membership and have made it my goal to analyze deals and work on Brandon’s 22 ½ actionable tips every day.
My main interests right now are buy and hold, multi family and FOR SURE will be house hacking my first investment property.
I’m excited for the future, and can’t wait to meet new folks!

Hello and welcome to BP! Do not do what you do not like. I have only driven through California and do not know anything about where you are from. Education is the key to investing in real estate and reducing your mistakes. Before you get started try to find a local Team. Your Team members will be Attornies, CPA's, Agents of real estate, General Contractors, etc. mostly the people you need and will respond to you when you call. Always do the numbers and try to look at properties before you make an offer. Always get insurance you need immediately after your closing. Also, change the locks on the exterior doors on your new places if you acquire living units. If the locks are good at it just use them at another address. Do what you like to do.
I am 59 years old and I found BP about 7months ago and I am still trying to decide what to do. I went to college and I got a business degree that emphasized real estate. In that same year, in 1980, I got a broker license. Regardless of what i had I felt more comfortable in the construction business. I closed a few deals for other people. I only have closed one investment deal and have sold it. My father has been in real estate and he has taught me a little bit. If you think that I can help you please contact me at BP at any time. Good luck!
