Hi fellow BP members!  My name is Brian Edge and I am new to the site.  I am a licensed RE agent in the metro Detroit area but have only been in real estate for just over a year.  Even with only being in real estate for a year I see the potential on both sides of the coin - investing and being a traditional agent.  I hope by joining BP I will learn a ton from my fellow members, meet my local investing peers, and get advice on the different paths to take in real estate.

I look forward to interacting with everyone!  Thank you.

Hello and welcome to BP!  I am 59 years old and I have never been east of the Mississippi believe it or not.  Education is the key to reducing mistakes.  Find an experienced and trustworthy Team that are local to where you invest.  Do not cut any corners.  Always do the numbers and try to look at it before you make an offer.  Just do what you like. Always get insurance on your newly acquired property recently.  Always change the exterior door locks for safety on newly acquired property.  If the locks are still working and look like new save them for another address.  Try to explain the lower offer than they asked and make sure they understand your reason.   Just do what you like.  Important people on your Team need to be Attornies, Inspectors, Agents,General Contractors, CPA's. Etc.

I am 59 years old and I found BP about 7 months ago and I am still trying to decide what to do.  I went to college and got a business degree that emphasized real estate.  My father has been in real estate for about 40 years and he has taught me a little bit.  I did a few deals for other people.  I did only one investment that was kind of personal and we sold it. Regardless of what I had I felt more comfortable in the construction business.  I have been in the construction industry since I was 17.  If you think that I can help you please contact me through BP at any time.  Good luck!
