Hi There!
Hi Folks! I am new to this and please be nice to me.
I came across this forum while researching about an issue. I am a landlord in New Jersey, and signed a yearly contract with my tenant. At the end of the lease I would like to terminate it and take the property back for sale. The lease is pretty clear about the fixed term. I am just wondering what to do if the tenant refuses to move away.
I know if I take rent from him after the term it will become a month to month lease. My plan is to give him plenty of notice 30 to 90 days in writing and would stop taking rent after the yearly lease is up. Would that work? I just want them to move so that I can sell the place. Thanks!
