New member from Houston looking to learn

Hi everyone, I'm really excited to find this site and looking forward to learning more about real estate investing and connecting with like minded individuals in the Houston area. I do have some background in construction and real estate from an academic and work perspective and would like to expand that knowledge through a local professional network.

At this point I'm interested in all aspects of real estate investing, perhaps with particular emphasis on development given my construction background. 

I'm going to my first Harris county foreclosure auction next Tuesday to observe so really excited about that as well. 

Any advice will be greatly appreciated!
