Hello BP Community-

I’m not a real estate investor, agent, or broker – I’m an Internet business operations executive by trade. As a big fan of the various HGTV shows on the flipping, rehabbing, and fixing-up of dilapidated buildings, I began to become fascinated by the idea of finding and restoring old properties. I started researching abandoned properties in various communities and immediately ran into many of the problems that the folks here seem to deal with on a daily basis – there’s no easy way to find properties, establish ownership, and acquire title easily. What really piqued my interest though was that I noticed in some cities, more than 50% of some property types available for purchase weren’t shown on the major real estate web sites.

As an operations guy I love bringing order to chaos. As many of you can attest, there may not be many things more chaotic than government property and tax records.

Meanwhile, I’m here to soak up knowledge and network with people that work in the real estate industry with neglected, vacant, and abandoned properties. As I learn, I’m more than happy to share. I’d also love feedback on my idea – good, bad, or indifferent. Any and all criticism is welcome.
