Hello everyone!  I stumbled across BiggerPockets and decided I want to be a part of this community.

My name is Jacob Mosqueda and I'm 27 years old. I am full-time student pursuing a bachelor degree in Finance.  I am a landlord with one rental property and have flipped one property on my own. Unfortunately, I partied too much then and blew all my profits from the deal.  Oops! This was years ago, and I am now in recovery from alcoholism.

My goals in real estate: I want to accumulate properties, and generate passive income. I want to flip a few houses, too, to see which path I would like to start my business down.  I have a lot to learn, but I am willing to put in the effort.  I look forward to meeting like-minded individuals that can help me along the journey.

I am specifically looking for someone to point me in the direction on where to get solid advice regarding a considerable amount of capital my family and I will be receiving in dividend payments over the next few years, and where to invest said capital. My father recently passed away, and I want to build my portfolio with what he has left for us. Please be considerate in your responses. Only looking for a friendly welcome, and hopefully somebody willing to help me navigate around the site.  Thank you very much!
