New Member Denver, CO- Seeking Mentor

Hello Everyone,

My name is Joshua and I currently work in the petroleum industry providing upstream solutions. I enjoy my role as a business developer, however 30 more years of corporate America doesn't seem to appealing. I joined Bigger Pockets to learn more about Real Estate Investing as well as finding a successful mentor. There is an overwhelming amount of information on the this website and I don't know where to begin. My goal is to learn from an experienced professional on which actions to take. If there are any REI professionals in the Denver or Lakewood area that would like meet for coffee or lunch ( my treat) and share some knowledge, please send me message. I have looked into some "real estate education programs" that require $5k to $10k up front. In exchange, they teach you how to find a motivated seller, put the property under contract, find funding, etc. and split the profits 50/50. Does anyone have experience with any of these programs? JM
