Hi, my name is Kana. I'm married, and have 2 kids (3yos and 1 yo). I was interested in real estate since 2007. We were poor at that time (I was a part time waitress, and my husband was a barista). But, we manage to save $200 months for several years. In 2011, we bought our first house in Edmonds, WA for 220K. my sister said it is a miracle. Saving $200 every month convinced our lender and the underwriter that we can make the payment. In Summer of 2015, we managed to buy our 2nd house in Lynnwood, WA. Everyone was shocked because we are not rich people. I am now a cook at a supermarket, making $15 hr, and my husband is a tech support at a starter company. Now, we are in process of selling our 1st house in Edmonds, and buying an upgraded house in nice Edmonds area (close to beach and downtown Edmonds). I would like to share my experience and also learn more other' success stories. My dream is to own my apartment complex someday. My plan to sell my lynnwood house in next 5 years. Holds on to the cash for a while, and buy a apartment complex when the market is on the bottom again.
