Hi everyone, I totally new to real estate investing. I am located in Prince George's County, Maryland near Washington DC. After listening to BiggerPockets podcasts and reading up on the website for several months, I am looking forward to beginning my REI journey. I am looking to purchase an owner occupied multifamily property. Thank you and I look forward to learning more!

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome! @Russell Brazil, you are absolutely correct that multifamily properties are rare in this area, I may go the single family home with a basement that can be renovated into an apartment route. As a first time home buyer and very new to REI, I really like the idea of house hacking. @Kadian Ferguson, I too have also learned SO much from the forums and webinars. The podcasts are great too and I try to listen to one on my metro commutes to and from work.

@Bhekizwe M. thank you so much for your kind words! @Paul Timmins, thanks for your tips. I have heard so many good things about J. Scott's book and have that next on my reading list. I have just downloaded "Real Estate Rewind" and reading it now. Thanks again!
