Retired Disabled Veteran looking to purchase multifamily units.
I'm a retired disabled Veteran who has a full time job, however looking to increase my portfolio of purchase and hold properties, pref Duplexes in my area. I'm looking to achieve 6 properties within the next 3-5 years so I can retire from my current job and manage my investments full time. I currently have two Duplexes. My goal is to purchase more properties without breaking my bank and draining any capitol that I have. I am looking to produce a positive cash flow that will supplement my military retirement and VA disability.

Hey Brother
I am also a disabled vet, so let me help get you started. The easiest way (financially) to buy property is to learn creative financing techniques. Then the trick becomes finding motivated sellers. In your world you need to think about burned out landlords. In many areas eviction hearings are easy to gather public info. Find a landlord who is evicting a tenant and you have a pretty good chance of finding a guy would is willing to sell you a property on terms.
Good luck
Josh
