Hello BP members,

My name is Christian Benitez. I am 21 years old and live in Richfield, MN. I am going to school to major in Finance. I have a year and a half left of school. I’m also getting married on June 12th! My fiancé and I are looking for our first house as a primary residence, so if anyone from BP wants to help us out, that would be great. Currently I am working full time for a Home Mortgage office in Minneapolis. I like it, but don't want to spend everyday day working in a cubicle for the next 40 years. As you can see my schedule is pretty full with school, work, looking for a house, and planning a wedding. Now I want to add REI to that list.

I don't have any background in REI, that's why I'm here on BP to learn more every day. I signed up for BP like three months ago, but haven't really done anything until like a month ago when I started reading articles and listening to podcast. I found this website while doing some research on a company. I went to a REI seminar and everything they were saying sounded awesome. They were saying how easy it was and you could do this only working like 15 hours a week. Then after a while they started saying I had to sign up for their weekend workshop for 2k. I went home to do research on them and found BP. Im glad I did because I saw that the workshop was not worth it and I have gained so much knowledge from BP. That is how I found BP.

My goals in REI are to actually start doing something and that is why I decided to finally post my new member introduction. I want to start flipping houses then get into rental properties. I want to pay off debt I owe then have passive income. I really don't know where to get started and if anyone will actually help/give me guidance because of my age. I want to get myself out there and try to find someone to help me with this journey. Also if anyone could tell me of any good REI clubs in the Twin Cities, I would greatly appreciate it. This is what I have to offer to anyone that is willing to show me this business. I have capital. Its not much, but would be enough to do a rehab. My dad owns a painting business, so I can hire him for not much money while still doing quality work. He also has friends that own other businesses that can do electrical and remodeling. This means I can save us money on the rehab. Im serious about this and have the motivation to get started. Currently I might not have much time, since everything that is going on, but once I start getting more into REI I will gradually work less hours at my current job. Right now I'm only available weekdays after 5p.m. and weekends.
