New to real estate investing from Chicago

Hey everyone.

I want to introduce myself.  I live in South Elgin, IL which is the Northwest suburbs of Chicago.  I am new to BP and real estate investing.  I have been on here for almost a week now.  This place is great, and I have learned a great deal already.  I hope to create great relationships while also building my portfolio.  I am willing to learn as much as I can.  I am open to any suggestions on how to jump start my business.
