LA - Got dreams and a brokers license. How best to use it?

Hey all, thanks for reading my first post on BP. Stumbled across their podcast last week and am diving into the site for the first time tonight.

My name is Mike Mathias and about 5 years ago I got my RE brokers license pretty much right out of school. Working at a real estate company never interested me much, so I started an S-corp and used it to supplement my income from my normal day job at a Tech Studio in LA as projects popped up and came my way(mostly in the commercial field), but it was never my primary career focus. I joined BP in hopes of learning how to change that.

In being a part of this community, I would like to:

-Learn more about how to find good real estate deals, be it commercial or residential.

- Learn how to better leverage my broker's license and my current real estate business so that I can make real estate a full-time endeavor

- Build a strong network of peers that would hopefully in the future lead to mutually beneficial RE transactions between us.

- Learn how to be a real estate deal maker.

I'd also love to share my story with others and put back in what I get out. I feel this could really be a great source of information for anyone to use to their benefit but I would love to learn enough to the point where I could be helpful to others as well to help them grow and achieve their real estate goals.

Hope to hear from all of you in the future!

Best,

-Mike
