Investment Buying (Houston)

Greetings BP Community. My name is Caleb Hammon and I currently live in Louisville, KY. Where I recently bought my first foreclosure home a couple months ago. I have a few loose ends to tie up before I am able to put the property back on the market. I am fairly new to the investment world, but it has always sparked my interest and most of what I know so far is from reading and researching. 

I plan on moving to the Houston area soon, to start looking for and buying properties. I really don't know anyone in the Houston market or how the investment property buying industry is in the Houston area. I am actually going to be flying to Houston Friday 3/18-3/20 to visit a friend and look at some properties while I am down there. If any of the BP Community lives in the Houston area and/or knows the investment housing industry well, I would definitely like to meet up with you while I am down there so I can hear from you your experiences of buying and flipping houses in the Houston area and if you think it would be something I should pursue. We could meet at a coffee shop or restaurant whatever would work best for you. I really would appreciate any advice you could give me!
