Hi BP Community, I'm excited to be moving from Hawaii back to the East Coast, ideally in the New York or D.C. area, but I'm flexible. I'm a writer now, but in an earlier career I used to manage small apartment buildings. I hope to transition into apartment ownership now. Any advice or warnings?

Resist any urge to manage apartments again. Purchase properties big enough to pay for third-party management.
