North New Jersey's newest addition

Hello! I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is, Marcus, and I am new to BP. I started off young and going down, what I thought was the “right path!” Little did I know the people I thought were looking out for my best interest, would be the ones to paint me a beautiful picture of the perfect paradise, only to later find out they would be sending me right into the eye of the storm. I ended up a young “homeowner” in May of 2007. As you may all already know, that was not the best time. I held on as long as I could, but two years later my great 5.75% loan jumped 8%! That’s when my world began to crumble, a child on the way and a rising mortgage. Since then I have been trying to recover from this life changing experience and have vowed to do my research and learn from my past mistakes. This time gaining a bit more knowledge before jumping into any deals. This way I can obviously make better educated decisions and determine when the red flags should pop up. I obviously want to provide the best future for my family, while being able to free up more time to spend with them. My goal is to flip houses, and become a successful, well-rounded, real estate investor.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story. I look forward to speaking, learning and networking with the BP community!

Best Regards

~Marcus Matos
