Hello Everyone,

My name is Craig and I'm new to BP. My real estate goal is primarily to acquire multi-families and buy and hold. Currently I am mid way through with my classes to obtain an Illinois real estate license, and my expectation is to add extra capital to my investment fund by working as a broker part time outside my regular job.

Just a little info about me, and my background. I'm currently 28, and have been working in a Sales / Account management position for the last 5 years. Prior to this I worked in the construction industry with experience in: roofing, siding, framing, tile, wood flooring, asphalt repair, cement work, & granite counter tops. Needless to say after 2007 my career path took a different direction, and I obtained my BA degree, and since have put all my efforts to eliminate any debt and be ready to focus on real estate investing.

I welcome any suggestions on local REIA groups in the Chicago area. My hope is to take further steps in networking, and continuing to educate myself.

I already have questions lined up, and can't wait to keep progressing.

Thanks BP,

Craig

Craig,

You might check out CAREIA, which meets in Lisle, with other events, including a cashflow game in Lombard.  You can find information on meetup.com.

Overall, BP is a good site.
