I started to get into real estate investing back in 1993 when I started to help my parents buy condominiums in the Austin Texas metropolitan area.  We developed a strategy of buying units and holding them for the long term - we still own the 30 units we bought over a period of 10 years at this point.  I have recently taken over the company in its entirety from my parents and I'm looking to expand it.  I am considering purchasing small residential buildings and once I have become more established to move into commercial property.
