Hey everyone! I'm excited to join this community. I've found this place through the Podcasts.

I'm your classic newbie who has big dreams and is scared to death about those first few steps. I currently live in Tulsa, but it is temporary for work. I may be moving to NC or TN or MD soon and that may be temporary as well (projects usually last about 1.5 years).

I'm currently reading Rich Dad, Poor Dad. I have a brother in law that flips houses. My day job is commercial construction management for a large general contractor.

My current 5 year plan looks something like this.

Year 1: Education and planning. Wife is taking real estate license online courses.  I read and reach out to brother in law for mentoring.

Year 2: Keep day job. Do first deal part time (with personal savings and family loans). Wife takes care of newborn twins and looks for small time broker who will let her work part time as she eases back into work.

Year 3: Keep day job. Do two deals. Wife gets involved and helps find and sell property.

Year 4: Keep day job. Do five deals. Quit job.

Year 5: Full time investor.

Anyway.... I excited to be an active member here. Very much looking forward to this journey and glad there is a community here to be supportive.
