Hello BP,

My name is Nicholas Smith and I currently live in Northwest Indiana, specifically Hammond, Indiana.  However, my hometown is East Chicago, Indiana.  I graduated Mississippi State University in 2008 and it seemed like the world was crashing.  Fortunately, I was blessed to come back home and get a job at the East Chicago Department of Redevelopment.  There I worked heavily with single family housing development (rental and for sale), down payment assistance program, acquisition/ rehab of abandoned properties, and overall community development.  I received my Indiana real estate license in 2013.  And I just recently passed the reciprocity exam for Illinois.  I currently work for the University of Chicago as an Assistant Property Manager in its graduate and faculty housing department...  When I became a broker, I really became interested in the world of real estate investing, primarily in the areas of new construction, fix & flip, and buy/ hold rental properties.  I recently went to one of the real estate “guru” presentations and was actually thinking about paying the money.  However, I googled reviews of the class and low and behold, BP members had some interesting and compelling commentary.  Shortly after that, I started listening to the BP Podcast and have been listening ever since.  I’m looking forward to making some fruitful connections with fellow BP members.  Thanks for your time and God Bless!
